Anirudh Vasudevan holds a granted patent for the Contactless Integrated Voting System and co-wrote ConsensusDrift: Semantic Salience Can Override Majority Evidence in LLM Aggregation, a paper at the EMNLP 2026 Main Conference. Before that he published work on detecting life activities with FMCW radar using a deep convolutional neural network (Springer, 2023).
The patent grew out of CIVS, a contactless voting kiosk I built as a personal and academic project. It checks a voter's face against registered ID photos, then records a ballot chosen by holding up fingers and confirmed with a thumbs up. The engineering is in the CIVS write-up.
