Hackathons·5 wins and placements·4th overall, ElevenHacks Season 1

Hackathon record.

Five wins and placements, 4th overall in ElevenHacks Season 1, and every other hackathon build I have written up, with the date, the result, and links to the write-up and the code.

Anirudh Vasudevan is a 5x hackathon winner. He placed Top 10 at the Y Combinator AI Hackathon with LARK, won ElevenHacks (Stripe x ElevenLabs) with Living Photos, took 2nd Place at the ElevenLabs x Replit Hackathon with FaceTime from Mars, took 3rd Place at ElevenHacks (ElevenLabs x Zed) with Apartment 4B, and won Best Voice Agent at the ElevenLabs x Firecrawl Hackathon with ScreenSense. In ElevenHacks Season 1 he submitted a project to all 11 hacks and finished 4th overall.

I like building a whole product in a weekend and putting it in front of judges. Most of these builds use voice AI: an agent you talk to, a game you play out loud, or a browser you control by speaking. "Entry" means I built and entered the project and no placement is recorded for it.

Wins and placements 5

Top 10

LARK

Y Combinator AI Hackathon

An MCP gateway and phone-style widget that lets ChatGPT and Claude place calls, play music, search YouTube, and message other AI agents.

I built the gateway and the widget; a teammate built the backend MCP servers.

2nd Place

FaceTime from Mars

ElevenLabs x Replit Hackathon

Push-to-talk voice calls with three AI colonists living on Mars in 2159, through a space-radio filter and a 3D camera that swings from Earth to Mars.

3rd Place

Apartment 4B

ElevenHacks, ElevenLabs x Zed

A first-person lo-fi horror mystery game built in 36 hours, with every voice line, scream and music cue generated ahead of time so the site needs no server.

ElevenHacks Season 1 6

4th overallElevenHacks Season 1

ElevenHacks is a series of ElevenLabs hackathons. Across Season 1 I submitted a project to all 11 hacks and finished 4th overall on the season leaderboard. Living Photos, Apartment 4B and FaceTime from Mars above were ElevenHacks entries. The entries below have write-ups too.

Entry

Jungle Safari

#ElevenHacks, turbopuffer x ElevenLabs

An animal-sound quiz for ages 1 to 3. Every sound and every spoken mascot line is generated ahead of time, so a toddler never sees a spinner.

Entry

Super Nova

ElevenLabs #ElevenHacks

A voice-only AI companion. Speech alone summons weather, maps, music, news and NASA widgets through a hand-written MCP client.

Other hackathons and challenges 6

Entry

ScreenSense (v1)

TreeLine Hacks 2026

A hold-to-talk Chrome extension. Ask a question out loud about your screen and a streamed answer appears next to your cursor.

I built it solo in the 36-hour window, and the following week I re-entered it at Global Engineering Hack 2026.

Entry

ScreenSense (v2)

Amazon Nova AI Hackathon 2026

A voice-driven browser agent that carries out spoken commands one action at a time in an observe, act, observe loop on Amazon Nova.

Entry

Tax It Easy

Moss x YC Conversational AI Hackathon, Y Combinator, San Francisco

A voice AI CPA that narrates a prepared tax return, reads every number from your own documents, and refuses tax-law questions it cannot cite.

Built overnight with Sathya Kasturi.

Entry

Director

fal x Sequoia 72-Hour Video Hackathon (developer track)

A voice-directed video editor. You talk to a LiveKit agent to plan a story, cast characters, render shots, and edit the timeline.

Entry

Second Shift

Multi-App AI Agent Hackathon, Online

A dispatch agent that re-plans a field-service crew's day across Slack, Google Sheets, Google Calendar and Gmail when a technician calls out, then checks every write.
